The large, naturalistic exhibits are designed to suite the needs of each species and provide visitors with a look into the environments where each species may be found. Live demonstrations, feedings, and meet the keeper events provide hands on experiences for all visitors.
Educational Programs - Reptilia's educational programs are written to suit curriculum guidelines to ensure that the lesson given is compliant with provincial standards. Our programs are directly linked to the topics the students are learning in the classroom. Reptilia staff also conduct workshops for teachers to provide them with additional background knowledge needed to teach science in the classroom.
Our educational programs are hands on investigations of reptiles and amphibians and how they relate to the world in which they live. There are over 10,000 species of Reptiles and Amphibians in the world and the number of newly described species increases every day. These animals live in almost every biotic region on Earth and are extremely successful. Along with this incredible amount of diversity comes a bewildering world of biological wonders just waiting to be discovered by a young, inquisitive mind. Reptilia can reveal that world to your students. We teach students about themselves and the world around them using fascinating animals that will hold their attention and keep them interested in learning.
